Cookie Policy

Effective August 29, 2026 · Last updated August 29, 2026

Short version: scrollan.app sets no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no analytics cookies. The only thing we keep in your browser is your light/dark theme choice.

1. What we store in your browser

That is the complete list. We do not set first-party cookies, and we do not run advertising pixels, fingerprinting scripts or third-party analytics.

2. Strictly necessary items set by our infrastructure

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set strictly necessary, short-lived items required to serve the site securely (for example, load-balancing or security tokens). These are essential for delivery, are not used for advertising, and are outside the "consent" requirements of most cookie laws.

3. Third-party images

Some article images are served from the original publisher's or a photo host's content-delivery network. When your browser fetches such an image, that third party may receive standard request data (your IP address, user agent) and may set its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control this. Images we host ourselves are served from our own storage with no tracking.

4. How to clear or block

You can clear the theme preference (and anything else) at any time via your browser's site-data settings for scrollan.app, and the site will simply revert to light mode. Because we set no tracking cookies, blocking cookies entirely does not break the site.

5. Changes

If we ever introduce analytics or other cookies, we will update this page first, list every item by name and purpose, and where required by law ask for your consent before setting them.
