User Privacy Choices

Effective May 13, 2026 · Last updated August 29, 2026

Every privacy lever Scrollan gives you, and how to pull each one. Most are one tap — Scrollan was built so you'd never need to fill out a form just to feel safe.

Your choices

Don't share my data

Nothing to do — we never sell or share personal information. The app ships with NSPrivacyTracking = false. Already on.

Delete everything (app)

Open Scrollan → Profile → Start over. Clears your language, ZIP, picks, saved articles and tour flag from the phone in one tap.

Turn off notifications

iOS Settings → Notifications → Scrollan → off. Apple stops delivering, and our copy of your anonymous push token is pruned automatically once it goes invalid. You can also simply never grant the permission — alerts are strictly opt-in.

Stop local context

Don't want the local feed? Leave the ZIP empty, or clear it from Profile. The local panel won't appear again and no region is referenced in requests.

Change your language

Profile → Language (app) or the 🌐 menu (website). Stored locally, used only to pick which translation to show you.

Forget saved articles

Tap the bookmark on any saved article to unsave it, or use Start over to clear all.

Reset the website

The site stores only your light/dark theme in your browser. Clear site data for scrollan.app in your browser settings and it's gone.

Uninstall the app

Long-press the icon → Delete App. iOS removes the app's entire container. Once your push token goes invalid it is pruned from our backend; nothing else tied to you ever existed there.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We don't sell or share personal information, so GPC and DNT signals have nothing to switch off — the protections they request are our default state for every visitor.

If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA)
