Degreaser Mistaken for Sugar Burns 5 at North Carolina Chili’s

In North Carolina, five individuals were injured at a Chili’s restaurant when a granulated degreaser was accidentally applied to margarita rims instead of sugar.

The incident affected three customers and two employees, causing burns on and around their mouths.

Health officials are currently investigating to understand how the mistake happened and to prevent similar cases in the future.
