India Evacuates Thousands Ahead of Cyclone Arnab in Andhra Pradesh

Indian officials evacuated tens of thousands from vulnerable coastal regions in Andhra Pradesh as Cyclone Arnab approached the eastern shoreline.

The cyclone, developing over the Bay of Bengal, intensified into a very severe storm, prompting urgent safety measures.

The India Meteorological Department warned that the cyclone is expected to make landfall soon, affecting communities along the coast.

Authorities prioritized moving residents to safer locations to reduce the risk from strong winds and heavy rains associated with the cyclone.
