Ken Schreiber, a retired military pilot, was just nine years old when Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon in 1969. Inspired by Armstrong, Schreiber also pursued a career as a fighter pilot.

Recently, Schreiber learned that Armstrong’s childhood home in Ohio was up for sale. Motivated by his personal connection to the astronaut, he stepped in to assist a historical society in purchasing the property.

The goal is to preserve the home and open it to the public for tours. Visitors will have the chance to explore the early life of the first person to walk on the moon.

This effort helps keep Armstrong’s legacy alive and offers a unique way for people to connect with a significant part of American history.
